What options are there to stay overnight?
A room block has been reserved at The Hampton Inn New Philadelphia. The rooms will be reserved until 4/3/25. Please
book through this link to get the group rate:

There are additional hotels in the area so if you happen to miss the room block or the rooms fill, please reach out to us and we can make alternative recommendations!
There is a continental breakfast and a pool at the hotel. Early check-in can be requested but is not guaranteed. We recommend becoming a Hilton Honors Member (a free rewards program) that includes the Hampton. If you are an Honors Member, you will have the opportunity to check in online on a computer or mobile device as soon as a clean room is available.
What is the best way to travel in from out-of-state?
For our friends and family located out of state, the Pittsburgh International Airport and the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport are about 1.5 hours from the venue and hotel. We recommend flying into one of these 2 airports if you need to fly. Since the venue is not located close to an airport, we recommend driving if you are close enough to do so.
Will transportation be available between the venue and hotel?
Yes! We have a shuttle service available to transport guests between the hotel and the venue. The shuttles will start at 12:30, seat only 14 people at one time, and run every 20 minutes so we recommend trying to be at the shuttle stop early to ensure you can get a seat on the shuttle and arrive on time. The concierge desk at the Hampton Inn will have the shuttle schedule available to let you know when the next shuttle will be. If you would prefer to drive to the venue yourself or if you miss the shuttle, there is parking available at the venue.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin at 2:30 and will only be about 30 minutes long. Please plan to arrive 15-30 minutes early to allow time for parking and finding your seats, and to ensure you do not arrive late and disturb the ceremony or miss the short proceedings. We look forward to sharing this moment with you!
What if I forget to RSVP?
If you do not RSVP by the deadline listed on the invitation, you will unfortunately be unable to attend our wedding. We must provide final guest counts to vendors to ensure adequate seating and accommodations for guests. To avoid missing out on all the fun, please make sure you RSVP by the date listed on your invitation
Is the venue indoors or outdoors?
All events will take place at the same venue location, Glass on Enchanted Acres. The ceremony is planned to be outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be moved indoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors. If weather is nice throughout the reception, there is an outdoor area available to step away from the music if desired.
Is there a dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is formal. We ask that men wear a suit in any color or dress separates, and women wear a dress (cocktail, mid-length, or floor-length), nice pantsuit, dress separates, or suit in any color. If you are unable to meet the dress code, we just ask that you come as you are, in what makes you comfortable! Celebrating with the people we love is what’s most important to us! All we ask is no all white outfits as we are reserving that color for the bride!
Am I allowed to take photos and videos at the wedding?
During the ceremony, we ask that all phones and camera be placed on silent and put away. We have hired an incredible photographer to capture the moment and do not want cell phones distracting from the ceremony or getting in the way of photos. After the ceremony, guests are permitted to take all of the photos and videos they’d like. Please share them with Chris and Sara so they can relive the day through your eyes!
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, due to budget and space limitations, we are unable to have all of our lovely guests bring guests of their own. We regretfully ask that only those who are directly listed on the invitation and RSVP attend. Thank you so much for your understanding and we hope you can join us!
Can I bring my kids?
While we love all of the children in our lives, our wedding is an adults-only event. Even the best parents need a break sometimes so we encourage you to use this evening as a “night out” for yourselves. We regretfully ask that only those who are directly listed on the invitation and RSVP attend. Our ceremony wouldn’t be complete without our flower girl, Genny, so you will see her as part of the festivities. Thank you so much for your understanding and we hope you can join us!
What should I do in the event I am no longer able to attend?
We completely understand that unexpected things happen and plans can change. Please let us know as soon as your plans change so we can make any necessary updates with our vendors
I have a question that you haven’t answered here. Who can I contact?
Please feel free to reach out to Sara at 412-760-4574 via text or call, or Gaylene Merritt, Sara’s mom at 412-780-7377 via text or call with any additional questions! The only ask is that you ask questions ahead of time and avoid reaching out the day before and day of the wedding as they will be very busy getting ready and enjoying the day!
