The story begins in October 2016. Sara was working at a news station in Chico at the time. Ford was living in San Francisco working at Google.

One weekend, Sara drove down to her hometown in Marin County to visit her god family. The curious cat that she is decided to tap into one of her dating apps while back in the Bay Area. Thank goodness she did because as she was swiping away, she came across the enchanting Ford Rylander. And it was a match! Ford messaged Sara inviting her to come hang out in the city to which she declined. Sara said she could not because she was only in town to spend time with family. But then in a change of events, Sara's god brother invited her to a party in the city after their family dinner. Sara quickly messaged Ford to inform him of the news! She invited him to the party and wouldn't you know it...it was only a couple blocks from his house! They spent the night talking like they had known each other forever. The rest is history!

The two quickly became a couple even though they lived at least 4 hours apart. In 2018, the long distance relationship came to an end when Sara got her dream job at KRON 4 News. The two moved in together with their dog Kai.

The two have since traveled around the world. Finally, 7 years later, Ford proposed to Sara in Austin, Texas!!!
