It was 2019 and people in their 30’s online date. Sara came across a picture of a cute guy with a hockey jersey on giving cardboard cutouts of Pittsburgh Penguins players the finger; that’s her team but she thought at least he likes hockey! Chris saw this adorable redhead with a head full of curls and heart full of dreams and he wanted to know more! After some texting, the first date was set for November 23, 2019 at The Republic in Farmingdale. We continued dating, and survived the pandemic! In June of 2021 we bought our house that we turned into a home with some hard work, and the help of family and friends. Our first vacation was to Mexico in August of 2022 for Ryan and Diane’s wedding where Chris asked Susan and Pete for their blessing to propose to Sara. That December Chris (surprisingly) agreed to go to a gingerbread house decorating event and said it would be good photo ops (that should have been the clue that something was happening)! While decorating our house Santa came to give Chris a special gift which was the engagement ring, and he got on one knee and proposed to Sara!
