Q + A

What will the wedding day timeline look like?

Following the ceremony, the bride & groom along with the bridal party and immediate family will remain at the church to take photos. There will be a bit of a time gap between the ceremony ending and cocktail hour so guests are free to do what they want during this time. Cocktail hour will begin at 4:30 pm at the Standard on the third floor.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be held indoors at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Following the ceremony, a cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Standard in downtown Rockford. Our beautiful venue has a third floor conservatory that opens onto a rooftop. As long as the weather allows, the cocktail hour and dance party will be held outside on the rooftop.

Can I take and post pictures of the ceremony and reception on social media?

We are totally okay with pictures and videos being taken throughout the day! We want this day to be just as memorable for our guests as it is for us! However, we ask that during the ceremony all guests silence and put their phones away. We have an amazing photographer & videographer who will be capturing our day & ask that they are the only ones with a camera during the ceremony. We promise there will be plenty of pictures and videos that will be shared with our guests once we receive them.

Where should guests park?

There is a parking lot available at St. Anthony's Church. The Standard has full access to City Market Pavilion parking as well as several other downtown lots.

What should I wear?

We want all of our guests to feel beautiful on our day & get dressed up with us! We are requesting that all guests wear formal attire (black-tie optional) for our wedding day. Please refrain from wearing colors that are traditionally reserved for the bride. We cannot wait to see how beautiful all of our guests will look on our big day!

Are kids welcome?

Although we love your kids, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can come celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one that is not noted on my invitation?

We have addressed the invitations to the people we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear near your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you RSVP to yourself & your guest. Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Also note that plus ones were not noted on the save the dates, they will only appear on the formal invitations.
