From Sara's Perspective:

Who says you can't still pick up a date at the gym? That's how it happened for us, at least. When I came to Texas in the Spring of 2017&nbsp;for my&nbsp;final clinical rotation of my physical therapy school, I decided to join&nbsp;a Crossfit gym. I met Zack within the first few weeks of being there, but he was one of the strongest guys at our gym and way too cute, so I did the only natural thing a single girl would do - I avoided him. For three months I went out of my way to not talk to him so I wouldn't get attached. I had plans and it did not involve Texas. Looking back, I'm sure God had a good laugh at that thought!&nbsp;











It was my last week in Texas and things were up in the air for me as to where I would end up after graduation. I walked into my Crossfit class a little earlier than normal, and Zack was the only other person there. It would be rude for me to not talk to him, so we chatted for a bit and I found out he was my age and a teacher, not the 32 year old banker I thought he was (not that there is anything wrong with 32 year old bankers, they just aren't for me :P)! After our workout, we walked out together and I told him I was about to move out of Texas unless I could find a job, and that I was only going to one more Crossfit class. Suddenly, I became this bold, confident blonde and&nbsp;I told him he should make sure to be there to wish me off. Later that night, he found me on Facebook and we connected. I thought to myself I didn't have much to lose, and asked him out for drinks the following evening - and he said yes! 











We went out for drinks the next evening, and spent the whole time talking about our jobs, our past experiences, our families, our lives. We never stopped talking after that and eight&nbsp;months later, Zack asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was the easiest&nbsp;yes I've ever said.&nbsp;









From Zack’s&nbsp;Perspective



Just when I decided dating was not for me...just minding my own business. This one girl from the gym kept catching my eye. She was so friendly and personable! She was new to the gym and really enjoyed meeting new people. We were consistent about going to the gym each day and I always knew I could catch her at the 6:30 class. Should I ask her out....?? No, she has to be married, she’s got it all figured out and is way too organized. I legitimately thought she was married. To this day, I still don’t know why I thought that, but at the time it seemed like a logical idea.&nbsp;

 



A few weeks went by and I overheard her talking to few other gym members that it was her last week. Wait...what, I didn’t realize she was moving! My thought was that at least at this point if I asked her out, I didn’t have anything to lose. But...I was just too nervous, and thought she wasn’t available. We casually walked outside together one evening and she asked if I wanted to go to a running club class. In my head, I was thinking“I’d love to be there to see you but running is not my thing.”However, I said sure...because why not? That night after some digging, I came across her Facebook, and just like everyone else does, did some recon. She seemed legit AND WASN’T MARRIED...

 



At this point I thought okay what do I have to lose, so I sent her a friend request with the line “Look at that, you popped up as a recent friend suggestion..crazy”. LIE but it worked!

 



After a brief time talking over messenger we talked more about the running club and if I was still interested. I hesitated and then she jumped..”Hey, if you hate it, I’ll buy you a drink”. Wait...what? Did I just get asked out on a date...yep, I sure did. And the rest is history.&nbsp;

 



I knew within a few days and several hours of conversation later that this girl was special. Everything felt so comfortable and easy. We shared so many commonalities and really valued each other’s passion and drive. It only took me 8 months to propose, and it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made.
