Corey and I met on a dating website in December of 2022. We were both managing busy lives working and caring for our kids (we each have a boy and girl and share custody with our ex's). After spending a few weeks messaging back and forth, we decided to meet. Unfortunately with the chaos of the Christmas season, I told him I wouldn't have time to schedule a date unless he wanted to help me with present wrapping. To my surprise, he was eager to set up a Christmas present wrapping date and came prepared with all of his unwrapped gifts, wrapping materials, and Starbucks coffee. Over a couple of hours of small talk, ribbon tying, and sipping lattes, we felt some instant chemistry and both saw potential for the future. We had follow up dates on Christmas and New Years Eve which were festive, fun, and full of laughter. It wasn't until our 3rd or 4th date that we finally took a photo together, and quickly thereafter I agreed to be his 'girlfriend'.
We spent a weekend together in Naples, celebrated Valentine's day, and I introduced him to my closest friends. We fell for each other quickly, and began building relationships with each others kids and families.

My kids and I took Corey to Michigan for the first time in the summer of 2023. He was my handsome date for my cousin's wedding, and he was able to meet most of the extended Sloan Family. We also had fun exploring Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan where I went to college. Even though I predominantly grew up in S. Florida, my Michigan roots are a big part of who I am, and it was very special to share that with him!
Later that summer, we took a big leap of faith and moved in together. We also survived our first Disney trip as a blended family of 6!
We discovered new hobbies together (paddle boarding), and a shared love for comedy shows, country concerts, and food!
In December, he took me to Disney for my birthday and a fun adult only weekend in Orlando. He proposed in front of Cinderella’s castle and he surprised me with cirque du soleil, amazing meals, and Orlando attractions that we experienced for the first time together. He was also able to take me to UCF Rosen School of Hospitality and share some of his favorite spots from his time there in college.
