Q + A

What is the RSVP deadline? How can I RSVP?

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before July 5th! You can RSVP right here on our wedding website on the 'RSVP' tab.

Is there a dress code? What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Think cocktail dresses or a suit and tie. Since it will be fall, we'd love for our guests to wear warm colors that compliment the beautiful season (brown, cream/taupe, burnt orange, sage green, auburn, etc.)

What will the weather be like this time of year?

September in the Smokey Mountains is perfect! You can expect the highs to be high 70 / low 80 degrees, and the lows to be as low as a brisk 50-60 degrees. The ceremony and reception will be later in the afternoon, so hopefully it'll fall perfectly between this range of temperature for a wonderful evening.

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Our wedding venue will be in Sevierville, TN. All of our family and friends will be traveling from out of town, including ourselves. You can book your flight to arrive at the McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN just under an hour from Pigeon Forge. Or better yet, take a road trip out to the Smokey Mountains with your loved one(s). Choose your own adventure, but most importantly have safe travels!

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Our venue is at high elevations overlooking the Smokey Mountains. Both the ceremony and reception will be at a single location, The Trillium Venue.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be held outdoors, whereas our reception will be primarily indoors. However, the later half of the evening we'll utilize the ceremony space as the dance floor.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive a least 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. Our ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We have coordinated two hotels that we recommend for our guests to stay: Hilton Garden Inn & Holiday Inn. You can find the hotel block information on the 'Travel' tab of our website. There are plenty of other options as well if you choose otherwise. We recommend that you book your stay early as reservations fill up quickly!

Is there transportation to the hotel?

We will have a shuttle service that will pick you up as well as drop you off, to and from the venue. They will arrive at the preferred hotels that we recommend for our guests located in Pigeon Forge. There is a secondary option where the shuttle can pick you up from their lot [Located at 1684 Walden's Creek Rd] which is a great option if you don't feel comfortable driving up the winding mountain roads.

Where can I park?

There is parking available at the venue, free of charge, however it is limited. We recommend the shuttle service for our guests as it'll provide ease for your travels.

Do you have any recommendations for where to eat, points of interest or things to do?

Yes! We recommend visiting the ‘Things to Do’ page of our wedding website, where we’ve compiled all of our favorite local hot spots and fun things to do in the area, including museums and restaurants to visit before or after the wedding.

Can I bring a plus one?

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Are children welcome?

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Will dinner be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Absolutely! None other than some Southern-style BBQ. We will have appetizers, a full buffet, as well as an array of dessert options and cake!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes, we will have an open bar for you all to enjoy and celebrate the night...tastefully of course!

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Since you’re traveling for our wedding, making the trip is a gift in itself — physical gifts are absolutely not necessary! If you do choose to browse our wedding registry, however, any items on the list can be shipped directly to our home address.

Registry details

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items and created a honeymoon fund which can be found here on our wedding website.
