Is there a dress code?
Yes, we have chosen a beach casual dress code. Please dress accordingly to celebrate with us! No white attire please.
Beach casual is a relaxed dress code that's perfect for events held at or near a beach. It combines comfort with a touch of elegance suitable for a beach setting. Here's what beach casual typically means for guests:
For Women:
Dresses: Lightweight, airy dresses, preferably in light colors or floral patterns. Maxi dresses or sundresses are great choices.
Tops and Bottoms: Blouses with skirts or casual pants like linen trousers. Avoid denim or heavy fabrics.
Footwear: Flat sandals are ideal. You might want to avoid high heels that can sink into the sand.
Accessories: Sun hats, sunglasses, and minimal jewelry to complement the relaxed vibe.
For Men:
Shirts: Button-down shirts or polo shirts in light fabrics such as linen or light cotton.
Bottoms: Casual trousers. Light colors like khaki, white, or pastels work well.
Footwear: Boat shoes, loafers; no sandals. Shoes should be easy to remove if the event is on the sand.
Accessories: A hat and sunglasses for sun protection, and perhaps a lightweight blazer if the event is slightly more formal.
General Tips:
Fabric Choices: Opt for breathable, light fabrics to stay comfortable in the beach environment, such as linen, cotton, or rayon.
Colors: Light or bright colors and patterns that reflect the beach setting are encouraged.
Comfort is Key: Since beaches can be windy, sandy, and sunny, choose outfits and footwear that will allow you to enjoy the event comfortably.
Sun Protection: Consider sun protection, especially for events held during the day. Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats can be both practical and stylish additions to your outfit.
Remember, while beach casual is laid-back, it's still a celebration. Aim for a look that is effortless, comfortable, yet put-together, respecting the special occasion
Will parking be available?
Parking for the reception is available at the boating dock, but please note that space is limited. At the ceremony location, public parking is an option, though it may be in short supply. Guests staying at The Embassy Suites will have parking included with their reservation throughout their stay.
