For 4 years, I deleted Email messages tempting me to rejoin Christian Mingle! I could not read what was said, but I could see a name and often a picture of a potential suitor! That is...until one day in June, the beginnings of a message caught my eye. "Dear Sara..."

I clicked on it and found a complete message from Dick Hecker, and he was a nice looking man! I messaged him with my full name (something I'd never done before!) in case his note sneaked through accidentally...and the conversations began!

Richard, as I call him, and I began with a phone call the next evening...ending with a shared prayer. We spent much of the next several days talking about our spouses, now in Heaven; we learned each had lived and loved well. 900 miles separated us, so conversation via phone and text was our avenue to learn about each other.

We promised to protect each other's hearts as we watched to see if God had a plan.

He did! He wastes NOTHING...our grief - we share. When tears come, we understand. We both feel so blessed to get to share our futures with one another. We look forward to our two families mixing into one. Those will be some wild gatherings for sure!
