Sara and Brandon met in the summer of 2015 through work. Working through Personal Touch Painting Company, their loved sparked painting dormitory halls at Kutztown University. Hours spent together on campus and in the car to and from work, turned into a lot more than a friendship. As the summer progressed, Sara could not deny the connection she felt, and fell for the goofy painter. As Sara started her Freshman year at Penn State she had Brandon right by her side, and from there the rest is history.

After weeks of careful planning, Brandon had his eyes set on scarring the proposal out of Sara. The two planned to go skydiving to celebrate their first year of being together. Little did Sara know that she would be asked for Brandon's hand in marriage from a sign as she was descending back down to land. Due to inclement weather, their plans took a rapid turn when they arrived at the Skydiving place and were informed that the jump was not possible. Frantically searching for another solution, Brandon contacted the Best Man and Matron of Honor, Brian and Nicole Costenbader to set up a romantic display at Brandon's tree stand (Incase you didn't know, the couple loves to hunt). Sara and Brandon arrived at the road leading to the tree stand to "go look at trail cam photos"; when another problem arose. Sara refused to get out of the car. After begging and pleading Brandon convinced Sara it would be worth the walk. And sure enough, it would be more than she could have ever hoped for. At the tree stand, flowers were laid out perfectly for Brandon to ask Sara to spend the rest of her life as a Costenbader. With no surprise, she said YES! September 22nd can not come soon enough.
