When Sara and Ben first met, Sara did not like the new engineer in the office. Ben&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;little&nbsp;cocky&nbsp;and&nbsp;demanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;lab&nbsp;personnel.&nbsp;But&nbsp;Sara&nbsp;eventually realized how handsome Ben was and he won her over. After they started dating Ben would make excuses to go to the lab in the back of the building where Sara worked just to talk to her. Sara and Ben bonded over their&nbsp;love for Star Wars, baseball, camping, and dogs.

The Meeting

Sara made the first move by asking Ben if he wanted to hang out sometime. They ended up going to the Ale Emporium for lunch and to watch the Colts game. Since Sara is a little old fashioned she did not consider this their first date because she asked him. So on November 29, 2014 Ben took her downtown. They walked up into the Soldiers and Sailors Monument and Memorial to look out the top of tower. Afterwards they walked to Bru Burger to have dinner.

First Date

When Ben and Sara decided to get a dog, they&nbsp;had their hearts set on a Boxer and went to animal shelters to adopt. Most dogs were not cat friendly and Sara had a cat, so adopting was out. They&nbsp;started looking on the AKC website for puppies. On May 16, 2015 a litter of pups were born and a few days later&nbsp;Sara talked to the breeder about a male pup. At 2 weeks old they met and fell in love with the perfect puppy. At 6 weeks old they were able to bring home Darth Vader. He has brought so much love and joy to their lives. They enjoy going camping, hiking, and playing in the yard together. They just recently added another boxer puppy to their little family. Newt Scamander, who was born on February 7, 2019. Vader enjoys having a little brother.

On Labor Day weekend Ben and Sara went camping at Salamonie State Forest. This was their last camping trip for&nbsp;the year. On Sunday, September 2, 2018 they went to the tailwater spillway of the Salamonie Dam. While Ben and Vader were walking across the creek, Sara found a nice spot in the shade to watch them. Ben kept trying to convince Sara to join him in the water as he walked to a small island. Sara, enjoying taking pictures of the guys and loving the shade, kept saying no. Finally Ben came back to the shore and shared a seat with Sara on a rock. He told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and asked to marry her. Sara was completely surprised. Now she understood why he wanted her to come into the water.&nbsp;

Potter's Bridge Park features the only remaining covered bridge in Hamilton County, and is surrounded by a 66-acre park. Constructed between 1870-1871 by Josiah Durfee, and restored in 1999, the bridge serves as the centerpiece of Potter's Bridge Park. The bridge boasts beautiful views of the White River and is a great place to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. The park also contains the White River Greenway Trail, which spans 3.25 miles along the White River through Forest Park and on to either downtown Noblesville or Morse Park and Beach.
