Our Story

The first time we met

So I'm not sure if a lot of people know this story but the first time sarabeth and I met she thought I was going to kill her! It was a normal day like any other. I just had woken up from sleeping all day and she asked if i wanted her to come over for a little bit before I had to go to work. I said yes, why not. She was so scared that she had to talk to her cousin the whole ride to my house. I get a texted saying I'm here! So my first thought was oh shit I have to get Caesars shock collar ready so he doesnt go crazy. So I grab it and I proceed to open the door so he didnt hear a knock. As sara is getting out of the car(still on the phone) she sees something in my hand( she thinks a gun or something) and ask in a very worried voice, what is that in your hand? Me being a little confused is to why she is acting worried, it's just my dogs shock collar remote. She then expresses a sigh of relief and says ok Katy I'll talk to you later. Haha she thought I was going to go all Dexter on her :)

Our love story

If our love story isn't the truest sign of "love comes when you least expect it" I don't know what is. When we met I was a single mom working full time and Nick was working nights, hanging out with the guys, going out to the bar - falling out of the car to puke in the grass, then take a nap- in the middle of winter! Although we were complete opposites, and at such different parts of our lives, the stars aligned and he quickly became my best friend then boyfriend, fiance and now (almost) husband! From the very first date we went on, I knew I'd be having his babies and getting married one day! I remember everyone thinking I was crazy, I had shifted my entire view on marriage (for me anyways) over one guy in such a short amount of time. It's true... When you know, you know!

Fast forward to over 4 years later and that Wedding day has finally (almost) come. We now have a beautiful family of 4 kids, a few more dogs, different jobs, and a house in a city we have settled down & planted roots in. It's so easy to get lost in life and forget how incredibly blessed we are to have this untraditional, yet wonderful family and we're thrilled to be able to celebrate it with all of you on our special day!
