We've only recommended places we eat at and like but there are tons more! It’s hard to narrow it down but here are some of our favorites.

Summerland

Tinkers - Burgers, fries, shakes

Summerland Beach Cafe - Breakfast and lunch, sandwiches, burgers, salads

The Nugget - Lunch, dinner, steaks, seafood, burgers, full bar

Red Kettle Coffee - Coffee, tea, pastries, quick eats

(not really for eating but Sandpiper Liquor is our only little store and is good for emergency shopping, lottery tickets and late night ice cream runs)

Thario’s on Santa Clause lane - Italian food, fav!

Corktree Cellars - Wine bar and California cuisine

Nutbelly Pizza - Artisanal pizza, salads, local beer and wine

Delgados - Family owned Mexican food, full bar

Rincon Alteno, Reyes, Reynaldo’s, Don Rogue, Taco Grande - Excellent hole in the wall Mexican

Zookers - California cuisine, wine, little upscale but still casual

Siam Elephant - Thai

Padaro Beach Grill - Casual oceanside dining outside (hint: sit up on the adults only deck for the best sunset view. If it’s cold, ask them to light the fire pit.)

Garden Market - Quiche, salad, sandwiches, coffee, wine, beautiful garden setting

Guicho’s Italian - Casual take out/dine in, house made tiramisu

Teddy’s - Sandwiches, seafood, apps, full bar

Chocolats du Calibressan - Handmade truffles and chocolates (must.get.the.chocolate)

On the Water

The Boathouse - Steak, seafood, burgers full bar, on the beach (SB)

The Fish House - Seafood, salads, steaks, great happy hour, across from the wharf (SB)

The Cliff House - Varied menu, on the beach, secluded, casual elegant, highly recommend (101 south toward Ventura. Mussel Shoals exit.)

The Harbor Restaurant - On the wharf over the ocean, big menu, great views (SB)

Longboards Grill - On the wharf over the ocean. Go for drinks on the outside patio, don’t eat there. The food is mediocre bar food at best but the drinks are good and the views spectacular. (SB)

Brophy Bros - Seafood. Iconic SB restaurant, get there early

Shoreline Cafe - On the sand. Sandwiches, salads. The catch of the day fish plate and tacos are YUM.

Carpinteria - State Park and and the beaches at the end of Linden Avenue are some of the best.

Summerland - the beach at Lookout Park (Take a left underneath the freeway and keep going straight)

Montecito - Butterfly Beach

Santa Barbara - Ledbetter, the Harbor, the Wharf


Parks

Summerland - Lookout Park

Carpinteria - Toro Canyon Park (enclosed dog park as well as hiking and picnic spots)

Tomol Park (play and learn Carpinteria history!)

Carpinteria State Park

Montecito - Upper Manning Park (one of our favorites! So beautiful)

Santa Barbara - Alice Keck (all about native flora and fauna and chilling by the pond. Sarah's favorite)

Kid’s World (across the street from Alice Keck)

Hikes

Take a walk on the bluffs nature preserve in Carpinteria and say hello to the seals.

Even just a walk through the streets of Summerland can give you a good workout!
