We met in Oxford, Ohio in the fall of 2010 at Miami University. After spending all of fall semester in class, we officially began dating that winter. Our first date was perfect, we went to the student center to catch the end of a basketball game, and we treated ourselves to a bacon cheeseburger and waffle fries. The time we spent together at Miami was amazing! Not only did we meet each other, we made some very dear friends that we are truly honored to be hosting at our wedding.
After graduation, we were heading to different states, and that is when we had to make a serious decision about our future together. We knew that we had something truly special and we were willing to do whatever we needed to stay together. Most of our relationship was spent apart, and we were constantly traveling back and forth across the country to see each other, which is why we decided on a travel theme for our special day.
We knew shortly into our relationship that we were meant for each other and Sean proposed four and a half years after we met in Boulder, Colorado. He had flown out for graduation weekend, and arrived the day before the rest of the family. He got down on one knee and proposed in a beautiful park, in the middle of downtown Boulder, in the pouring rain, and it could not have been more perfect.
We decided to get married where our story began, and we couldn't be more thrilled that we are able to make that a reality. We are excited for our future together, and we hope you will join us to celebrate the beginning of our new journey!
