Our Wedding

On September 5, 2023, I (Sarah) was getting my nails done at The Cutting Edge when Tyler came in for a haircut. I noticed when he sat down but became intrigued when he began telling what's become the "crazy cat story." The week before, a stray cat had stolen part of the Chick-fil-A order he'd DoorDashed to his apartment. The cat, Jingleheimer, had made his way to the Upstate from Conway, SC, apparently as a result of drama between his owner and her neighbor (truly a crazy story). As it turns out, Tyler is hilarious and a great storyteller. When he left, I told Morgan (my cousin and nail tech) that I thought he was really cute. On October 10, 2023, I (Tyler) went back to The Cutting Edge for a haircut. Prior to my visit, the ladies at The Cutting Edge had already been talking to my Mom about how “they needed to set us up.” Interested, I sat in Gail’s chair and asked her, “So, I hear y’all may be trying to set me up with Sarah?” Gail responded with, “We think both of y’all are great people. If you want, you should reach out.” A few weeks later, Sarah had liked one of my Instagram stories, and I decided that it was time to make the move. I slid into her DM’s and asked for her number. Tyler asked me to go to lunch and I picked Pot Belly Deli. After driving by the place twice, I finally found it (third time’s the charm) only to answer a call from Tyler as I pulled into the parking lot. He had arrived to find they are closed on Tuesdays and suggested Chick-fil-A instead. I followed him down the road and we had our first date at Chick-fil-A on November 21, 2023. Luckily for me, I made a good enough impression to convince Sarah to go on a second date, then a third date, then a fourth date, and so on. The dates became more frequent, and it didn’t take long for us to realize that we were made for each other. Sarah and I have gone on many adventures together from painting dates, to waterfall hunting, to mountain trips, to beach trips, to movie nights, and many more. We grew to love each other. Early on, I knew that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. On September 21, 2024, I asked the love of my life to be my wife. We are so excited to start this new chapter of our lives together as husband and wife!
