Sarah and Scott

Saturday, May 11, 2024 • Newport, RI

What time is the wedding?

The ceremony will start promptly at 5 pm! Please plan to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to ensure time for parking and finding your seat. Cocktail hour will start at 6 pm with dinner reception to follow.

Where should we go for the ceremony and reception?

The ceremony will take place in Newport's historic Kay Chapel (94 Church Street), directly behind Hotel Viking (1 Bellevue Ave). If unsure of where the chapel is located, guests can plan to arrive at the Hotel Viking and can follow signs through the hotel to get to the chapel on the adjoining street. The cocktail hour and reception will immediately follow the ceremony, at Hotel Viking.

When do we need to RSVP by?

Please inform the bride and groom if you will or will not be attending prior to April 1st so that they can plan accordingly.

Where can we stay?

With lots of our guests being local, a specific room block has not been reserved for the event. We recommend to book accommodations early! You are welcome to stay at the venue itself, but there are many more options within driving/uber distance in the surrounding area.

Where can we park?

We understand that parking in downtown Newport is tricky! Parking will be available on site at the Hotel Viking for a small fee for the event (estimated $15 per car).

What should I wear?

The event is formal/black tie optional! Suggested attire includes a tuxedo/dark suit and tie or a floor length gown/midi-length dress. The wedding party will be in ivory, eucalyptus, gold, and black.

Are kids invited?

Unfortunately due to space limitations, we are having an adults-only (18+) reception. The only children attending the ceremony are those who are part of our wedding party. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free, and take the opportunity to let your hair down and celebrate in style!
