Like so many couples our age, we met online. We met on the dating app OkCupid in August 2018. Our first date was at Lion's Tap in Shakopee -- something fun and informal. I bought the dinner, and she bought the ice cream after. We bonded over our love of Disney, band, and space exploration.

We had been together for a year when my sister, Taylor, died in August 2019, and that's when our bond really solidified. We have been through so many hardships in this relationship: the loss of Taylor, of Sarah's dad Gus, of my "Nunit" Judy, and of three of Sarah's childhood pets. Through perseverance and unconditional support, each hardship only tempered and strengthened our love, to the point where it is now indestructible.

I love the life Sarah and I are building together. We have the house, the dog, and plans to have a child within a few years. I can't wait for this next chapter with my amazing future wife.
