It was a warm, summery evening in August, 2016 in Allendale, Michigan. Sarah and Michael met on social media through mutual friends and after getting to know each other for a few weeks, he decided to shoot his shot and invite Sarah out for a night. Michael was DJ'ing at a party at apartment D101 (IYKYK), where many memories would soon be made!

Sarah was nervous to meet Michael and brought her backup for reinforcement...her best friend, Deven. Surely, if it wasn't a good match, Deven would tell Sarah if the vibes were off! Deven drove Sarah to the party, and may or may not have gotten lost on the way (are we surprised?) When they finally arrived, Michael was waiting outside of the apartment for them with a warm greeting and smile. The connection was strong right off the bat, and he even passed the Deven vibe-check! They had an enjoyable evening and before Sarah left, Michael had already set up a date for the next morning. He picked Sarah up in his Mustang for some Tim Hortons breakfast, where Sarah proceeded to order a full meal and some donuts, leaving no crumbs behind....because the crumbs were worn on her face. Michael quickly learned that Sarah was unapologetically herself and invited her out for a 2nd date, which consisted of playing basketball at the GVSU recreation center. Those who know Sarah understand why she ran collegiate track... Basketball was not her strong suit. Yet again, Michael was not deterred by her lack of coordination on the basketball court, or the chocolate donut frosting pasted on her face after a feasted on breakfast.

The DJ and track runner continued to grow their love story for 7 years, filling moments with laughter and cherished memories, until the spring of 2023 when their love story expanded to limits they didn't know existed. This was when they learned of their daughter, Hayden, who would soon be welcomed into their world on February 10th, 2024. From that point forward, their devotion and adoration for one another reached new limits after watching each other take on the role of parents, together, as a team and family.

Sarah and Michael are so excited to get married and celebrate their love story that has developed through the varying stages of life thus far and for many more to come. Thank you for being a part of our special day!
