“Summer Formal” wedding attire sits between “cocktail” and “formal” on the wedding dress code scale. It's slightly more elevated than cocktail attire, but not as dressy as formal attire since the reception is taking place during the heat of summer.
Examples of Summer Formal include ankle-length dresses, dressy separates, and suits paired with a crisp button-down. Since the wedding is in June, look for lighter fabrics and lighter colors to help with potential heat.
As for colors to avoid for formal weddings, steer clear of white, ivory, cream, or champagne-colored dresses and light-colored suits. You should also avoid pieces that may read as too casual, such as cotton sundresses with flip flops or sports coat with jeans.
Are kids invited?
We love kids, but to keep the guest count at a manageable number, we've decided to make this an adult only event.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony will be inside our local church, and the reception will be held outside. Inside the Bianchi Residence is reserved for vendor use only.
