Things to Do

Washington, D.C.

Our Nation's Capital, now a bit more respectable, is approximately 45 minutes from Manassas. Enjoy museums, memorials, and other historical sites. Hell, just go to watch how many people jog with their dogs around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

Prince William County, VA

Prince William County is a great place to explore Civil War history. Make sure to visit Manassas Battlefield National Park only 10 minutes away from the wedding venue. Please do not try to take the cannons. I already asked, you're not allowed.

Loudon County, VA

Known as DC's Wine Country, Loudon County is approximately 45 minutes from Manassas. Visit historic downtown Leesburg or go to Morven Park to watch important-looking people ride horses in velvet jackets. If you plan to visit a vineyard, let us know ahead of time that you'll be too drunk to make it to the wedding. No judgment, we're thinking about doing the same thing.

Shenandoah National Park

Located approximately 1 hour from Manassas, Shenandoah National Park is a beautiful area that is self-described as overflowing with "deer, black bear, wild turkey, and a host of other woodland animals...." While there is the option for hiking and rock climbing, we know that pandemic pounds are a very real thing. Thankfully, Shenandoah National Park has a lovely Skyline Drive that allows you to drive through the entire park and see all of the woodland creatures without leaving the comfort of your Hyundai Sante Fe. Be warned, the Skyline Drive takes about 3 hours, so unless you're planning on driving 120 mph while dodging park rangers, children, and wild turkeys, use the bathroom ahead of time.
