A lovely hotel in the middle of Cockermouth, with excellent rooms, bar & restaurant. 5-10 mins from the venue and about a 20 minute drive to Keswick.

Perfect if you plan on staying locally for a night or two.

Situated on the site of the old "Sheep and Wool Centre" ( yes that's a thing!), this budget-friendly option is less than 5 minutes from the venue by taxi. Cockermouth town centre is also only a 10 minute walk away.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

We hope you understand that our wedding will be an adult-only occasion. We love your little ones, but we've decided to keep our special day limited to adult guests only.

What is the dress code?

Dress to impress! But also, it's Cumbria in April - so literally any weather is possible. It's therefore probably a good idea to bring something warm and an umbrella too just in case! The groom/groomsmen will be in green. The bridesmaids will be in ....

Buttermere is an incredibly beautiful place. The walk around the lake is relatively flat and takes approximately 2 hours at a steady pace. There are nice cafe's in the village too for a post-walk coffee and cake.

Catbells is a mountain overlooking Derwent water and Keswick. It is a moderate hike taking approximately 1.5 hours to climb at a steady pace
