It's not often that we get all the people we love in one spot, therefore we want to enjoy it as much as possible! Festivities will start early Friday afternoon into the evening and then the wedding itself will take place Saturday. Brown Mountain Beach Resort is a large property with a million things to do including hiking, swimming, tubing, walking through the gardens and meeting the friendly farm animals- we want you to take some time to enjoy it!
What should we wear?
Here is a link to a couple pinterest boards...
Welcome Party(casual but cute- think 4th of July BBQ minus the red, white and blue): https://pin.it/3fR7fueBq
and
Wedding Day(think summer prints, cocktail but not overly formal) : https://pin.it/3VRVfobHe
What should I pack for a weekend long wedding?
The real question is what shouldn't you pack? Please don't worry about bug spray or sunscreen! A bathing suit is a must and you may want some tennis shoes and water shoes. Consider bringing a beach towel!
Wifi or nah?
There is limited cellular service on the property but there is access to wifi is the main pavilion and the welcome desk building! Part of the charm of Brown Mountain was to disconnect with the rest of the world and just enjoy the company of those around you. Instagram can wait y'all (;
Plus ones?
Plus ones should be listed on your invite and when you RSVP but if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out
Small humans!
Our wedding will be very kid friendly but due to the limited capacity, only children listed on the invites and RSVP will be invited to join us for the day. For our small babes, there can be babysitting arranged on property if needed!
Lodging
There are a number of cabins and yurts available for the weekend that will be assigned to the wedding party and immediate family closer to May. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to reach out. Otherwise, there are several hotels in town and encourage y'all to check out local AirBNBs! More info located on our 'Travel' page!
This doesn't seem like your traditional wedding...
It's not! The overall vibe for the weekend is fun filled relaxation with a whole lot of love and a side of getting married! Think summer camp, lazy days on the beach, mountain weekends + A WEDDING! Everything will be pretty laid back leading up to the wedding, with a focus on fun and making memories.
Got anything else for us?
Absolutely! Check back regularly and we will post updates about travel and lodging recommendations as well as more info about the wedding itself!
