The closest airport to Winston-Salem is Piedmont-Triad International (GSO) airport in Greensboro, which is about a 30 minute drive from Winston. Charlotte (CLT) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU) are also close enough but expect to drive for about 1.5 hours from either airport to Winston. Downtown Winston is pretty walkable, and if you’re staying in one of our suggested hotels, you will be in walking distance to bakeries, restaurants, and shopping. We do, however, recommend renting a car if you plan on flying in as public transportation is slim. The Crest has limited parking which we hope to reserve for vendors and guests who require a shorter walk so if you're able, please walk or get a ride-share to the wedding!
