Andre and Sarah met the way modern day couples meet: on Bumble. Sarah had a stunning profile that caught Andre's eye. They both swiped right immediately and the rest is history. The two first met in real life at the restaurant where they would later get engaged, Luigi's in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Sarah was in town for her summer internship, and Andre was in the Army, preparing to go to Special Forces selection. The night they met they talked for hours about politics, traveling, family, music, and everything in between. Before the night came to an end, plans for a second date were made.


Over the following months, Andre and Sarah would share many more dates. Sarah met Andre's parents and family when they traveled to the Bay Area for Thanksgiving, and then again for Christmas. Andre spent a lot of time with Sarah and her family in Southern Pines and at the beach near Wilmington NC. The two would enjoy beach trips, hiking adventures, church, community service, and countless lunch dates. On April 27th, Andre had a very special lunch date in mind. He took Sarah back to the small, Italian restaurant where they had their first date and got down on one knee. Family and friends gathered inside to celebrate the occasion after Sarah said yes!


We are extremely happy to be having the wedding in California, although we know it is difficult for people to get there. We love all of you and thank you for taking the time to read our story and (hopefully) we will see you at the wedding.
