We met on the dating site OKCupid in May 2015. Sarah was the first girl Alex messaged so he doesn't get why people complain about online dating. Dream girl aquired, seemed easy enough. Sarah however had to slog through riff-raff before getting to Alex.

We hit it off by talking about miniature food and pretty soon were on our first date having steak at Texas Roadhouse. Things only escalated from there and by our second date we were shopping for toilet paper at Target together. Some of our early date spots are still our favorites and we love to go to Texas Roadhouse and Dave & Busters from time to time.

After a couple years, Sarah's room-mate was getting a new place and we decided to move in together in St Louis Park. Rick and Alex were already living together in a house but there's more than enough room. The bigger difficulty was the cats moving in together, and two of them definitely didn't get along, but after 4 years and one cat passing, things have settled down.

We're looking forward to travelling and camping a lot more! So far we've done a road trip to Washington state where we visited friends and camped in Olympic National Park. We've been out to Chicago a couple times. In October 2021 we went to Greece for 10 days where we explored Athens, road tripped to Delphi and the around the island of Crete. We stayed at a posh hotel on Santorini where Alex proposed at sunset with nobody around (in a hot tub).

There's several more trips on the horizon and we hope to take the California Zephyr train from Chicago to San Francisco and to go to Japan together when it opens again to tourism. Past that we're looking forward to a lifetime of adventure :)
