Tokatee Illahee Park

Come visit our 20-acre RV campground on the Siletz River! Just north of Siletz sits our beautiful park. Our park features a Lodge House and field area with a gazebo, bbqs, basketball and volleyball courts as well as swings and slides for kids. We also have 5 horseshoe pits available. On the upper level we feature 40 dry campsites for either tent campers, RVers, or just a day camper. Our upper camp also includes an encloseable gazebo with woodstove and kitchen, a horseshoe pit, bbq pit, and play area for the kids. And this is all right on the Siletz River! Its a beautiful place to camp!

If your coming south on 101, take Hwy 229 at Kernville and follow it for approximately 20 miles. The park will be on your right just before going over the green iron bridge.

If you're coming from the I-5 corridor, take offramp 228 and head toward Newport, once you get to Toledo take Hwy 229 toward Siletz (bear right at the yellow flashing light at the Dairy Queen). Stay on 229 through the City of Siletz and go about 2.5 miles past Siletz just past the 2nd green iron bridge. The park is immediately past the bridge on your left.

Grab your bathing suits, towels and flip flops! Whalers Rest RV Campground offers a pristine beach location just 150 yards from the Pacific Ocean. Open year-round, this RV campground on the Oregon coast offers beach goers activities including salt-water swimming, scuba diving, surfing, whale watching and fishing all within minutes Whalers Rest RV Campground. On those not-so-sunny days, our indoor pool and spa are fabulous alternatives. Billiards, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and mini golf are other popular activities at Whalers Rest RV Campground.

Other local attractions include the Chinook Winds Casino and Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. But perhaps the best feature of all at Whalers Rest RV Campground is the staff who are committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible. This campground truly has it all.

Moonshine Park is a beautiful, secluded, seventy-eight acre park on the banks of the Upper Siletz River located in rural Logsden. Fishing and swimming holes are popular along this stretch of the Siletz.

Moonshine Park has 36 camping sites which accommodate tents or small RVs and two group camping sites. This park has potable water, 3 restrooms and shower facilities.

Park Overview

Situated next to the Yaquina Bay Bridge, South Beach State Park begins in south Newport and stretches several miles down the Oregon coast. This historic park offers access to miles of broad, sandy ocean beach and trails for walking and bicycling. Located just south of the South Jetty, this is your gateway to exploring Newport.

The paved Jetty Trail provides a perfect place to jog or ride a bicycle. Our equestrian trail to the beach begins at the South Jetty equestrian trailhead. Park next to the trailhead and enjoy a beautiful sunset by horseback!

A playground area, horse-shoe pits, and a 18-hole disc golf course are near the campground area. Stop by the Hospitality Center to get maps, brochures, purchase souvenirs or camp items, or to check out free discs and horse-shoes.

Enjoy exploring the freshwater marsh and forested uplands of Beaver Creek Natural Area, 7 miles south of the park. Five miles of trails wind through the marsh and up into through the forest and meadows, showcasing views of the ocean on a clear day.
