Our Wedding

Kyle and Sarah have known each other for over 15 years, but if you asked these two when their story started, they might have different answers. Sarah navigated middle and high school with a few different crowds, but one day she met a tall, lanky kid named Kyle. He was also doing his own thing and hanging out with other people, but he was hilarious and kind and so much fun to be around! Soon they would be instant messaging about all the adventures they would go on after they graduated and moved out of Cave Creek. They were best friends. Kyle may have been grounded for most of high school, but he did make it count when he was out of lockdown. Kyle even introduced Sarah to one of her lifelong friends Kate (now her Maid of Honor) at his 16th birthday party. Then... they separated. Went their own ways after graduation, but kept in touch here and there on social media. Until Summer's End Music Festival at ASU - turns out they both attended, but on separate days (missed connections am I right). Sarah thought this was a great opportunity to catch up and asked "What are you up to tonight?" and Kyle replied "Picking you up in 20" You see, Kyle secretly had a crush on Sarah in high school. Being the spontaneous, hopeless romantic he is - he took her to watch planes take off at Sky Harbor that night, took her to the State Fair winning her all the prizes the next, and he may have even landed a kiss at her doorstep (dorm gate). The rest is well... you know how this goes.

How We Met

On March 22, 2022, Kyle planned a surprise engagement with the help of Sweet Dee's Bakeshop in Scottsdale. Kyle convinced Sarah they would be taking "marketing photos for baking lessons" with their closest friends, and then he would pop the big question! He planned an entire dinner with family and friends to follow at one of their favorite restaurants downtown. Then came the global pandemic of the century, along with a literal government shut-down the night of their engagement. Every plan had to change. Not even a pandemic was going to sway his plans. Kyle improvised, and his Best Man Ross offered to invite them over for catered breakfast on his apartment's rooftop patio instead. Meanwhile, Kate (Maid of Honor) planned a wine and DIY nail date the day prior. While the world went a little crazy, there was never a doubt that this was meant to be. Kyle and Sarah later celebrated with friends and family post-quarantine and are so excited to finally get married!
