Our Wedding

Jared and Sarah met back in 2014 when they were in high school! They were introduced through a mutual friend on a simple phone call, but hit it off right away. Somehow they were able to skip the awkward "introduction" stage and could stay on the phone talking for hours. Jared got up the courage to ask Sarah to be his girlfriend that fall, and Sarah said, "and the answer is.... yes!" Unfortunately, being 16 and 3 states away got in the way, however they remained friends for almost a decade! In 2018 Jared met up with Sarah and family for the first time on a trip to Disneyland. Nervous about meeting each other for the first time, they hit things off even better than before, and became inseparable! Already a magical place, the whole trip felt like a dream they didn't want to end. They went on an adventure through HOURS of LA traffic to attempt to find the Hollywood sign, and enjoyed every minute of it, making up stories about the people they passed by and laughing the time away. He held her hand for the first time walking up to the Hollywood sign viewpoint. Jared opened the car door for Sarah and without her knowing, caught a glimpse of the enormous smile on her face as he walked around the car. Life and busy schedules got in the way again and they reconnected in 2022 when Jared came up to visit Seattle for the first time. Sarah actually took a personal day off work (which never happens) and they explored all around the pacific northwest for 4 days straight. Unbeknownst to each other, they both realized they were in love the same hour of the same day. They both experienced the hardest goodbye of their lives the day Jared left for the airport. Sarah thought to herself, "Well this is going to get expensive..." imagining traveling back and forth. They couldn't wait for their next visit. Luckily they didn't have to wait long! Jared had the opportunity to move up to Seattle a month later for a job offer that God and the stars orchestrated, and they've been together almost every day since. In their spare time they spend every chance on adventures, watching sunsets with whales passing by, exploring abandoned forts, kayaking, hiking, and treasure hunting for antiques. They've taken many little trips together visiting Jared's family in New Mexico, Sarah's family in California, 2 trips to Hawaii and weekend excursions camping or to the beach any chance they get. Jared nervously told Sarah he loved her on February 5th 2023, to which she responded to his surprise, "OH THANK GOD!" (She had been waiting for ages to tell him too.) Finally, on April 23rd 2024, Jared proposed to Sarah on a picture-perfect beach with the prettiest Tiffany ring... at sunset... in Hawaii. Somehow, Sarah's mom and Jared managed to keep it a surprise! They feel so blessed to finally have each other after all these years, and are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

Seattle Bainbridge Ferry

Driving around may be a great way to avoid ferry lines. This route takes approximately an hour and a half driving from Seattle over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge with no traffic. Tolls for the bridge are only collected on the return route.$5.50 for a standard vehicle at the toll booth($4.50 with Washington Good To Go pass)($6.50 to pay by mail)

Spend the day over in Port Gamble!

There is lots to do in the area! Arrive early and spend your time in the cute town of Port Gamble! Check out the town website here!<a href="https://www.portgamble.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.portgamble.com/</a> There are a variety of shops including candle-making, art galleries, a yarn store, and more. Visit the Port Gamble Museum or curiosity exhibits above the General Store! If spending the weekend in the area, Port Gamble is near the "Little Norway" Scandinavian town of Poulsbo, historic Port Townsend, many state parks, Olympic National Park and the Olympic Peninsula!
