Airport Options
Cabarete is a 30 minute drive from Puerto Plata International Airport (POP) or an 80 minute drive from Santiago Airport (STI)... Both, of course, will require passports for entry and exit.
Rental Car or Taxi?
Many of our guests will opt to get rental cars for the week. You can expect to spend a minimum of $13/day renting a sedan using the attached link.
If a rental vehicle is not a viable option for you, that's okay! Taxis are prevalent throughout the Dominican Republic and the city of Cabarete is absolutely walkable.
Where to Stay
There are many options for accommodations. I will link some resorts and other hotels in the area, but my suggestion would be to check out Airbnb. If you have two or more groups that you plan on traveling with, the Airbnbs in the area are extremely nice and very inexpensive. Cabarete is where the actual event will be, but the surrounding cities of Sosúa or Puerto Plata are also extraordinarily close.
Presidential Suites Cabarete
This is a hotel very close to Villa Coco Mar, the venue of the actual event. It is a 4-star hotel and the average nightly stay cost is $65.
Beachfront Condos
This hotel is directly next to the venue...one minute walk. They are two bedroom condos on the beach and the average nightly price is $90/night.
Velero Beach Resort
The beachside resort is located extremely close to the venue and has nightly average prices of $84.
