In 2017, Sarah started a new job working in the Operating Room while she was finishing nursing school. The job mostly consisted of cleaning floors and taking out trash - but more importantly, it also involved getting to see the cute PA that came in every Wednesday for surgeries. So, of course every Wednesday you could find Sarah lingering around whichever OR room that cute PA was working in, but never actually getting close enough to have a normal conversation because - that's way too obvious. That is until one day, after a hefty pep talk from a coworker, Sarah mustered up the courage to try and make a move.

WELL. This plan was executed much better in her head. It was almost time to go into the room where Marty was finishing up a case. So in her mind, she would wait until it was time for her to go in the room - she would throw open the door and her hair would be blowing in the slow motion imaginary wind as "Sara" by Starship played in the background. Marty would turn toward her and realize how super smooth and cool she was and instantly fall madly and deeply in love with her. The End.

Yeah. Absolutely not what happened. She did wait until it was time to go in. And she did throw open the door...however, little did she know, that cute PA was bent down behind the door taking off his shoe covers. So, she threw open the door...heard a loud thud...and all she saw was that super cute PA, with eyes the size of golf balls, as he flew back towards the surgical table. No slow motion hair flying. No Starship music in the background. Just lots of blushing and mumbled apologies from a failed attempt at trying to be cute.

So, ladies and gents, the first attempt at love was an absolute fail. However, much to Sarah's surprise, Marty had his eyes on her too. And a few weeks later, he returned the favor by accidentally hitting her with an OR closet door, on his way to ask her out on their first date.

And the rest is history...
