Our Wedding

It was the first night in the Northeastern dorms. Chance and his friend Nick thought it would be a good idea to test the limits of science. The question: how high of a drop does it take for Nick to miss catching an Altoid in his mouth? After the first two stories it became clear that the man doesn't miss. At this point it was all or nothing, Chance had to go to the top floor and see if Nick could catch it from the basement. Meanwhile, Sarah had decided that she, and a new friend, would try and go sightseeing. Their destination, the roof of the dormitory to look at the light polluted stars. At this point an unsuspecting Chance made his way to the top floor and shouted, "Are you ready?”. Only to have Sarah chime in, from a window sill two feet above his head, “ready for what?”. With a scream and a jump he turned around to see the woman of his dreams, clutching a butter knife by a window sealed shut, and her new friend looking equal parts fascinated and confused. Most people would ask someone in this situation what they were doing, but technically she asked the first question. So, he spent the next few moments explaining the Altoid-based shenanigan's. Now, she had some explaining to do. She confessed that she was trying to break out of the dorm and get to the roof. Her plan was to use a stolen butter knife (from the dining hall) to pry away the paint sealing the window shut. He offered her a hand, only for the group to be discovered by the RA and explicitly told to stop defacing school property.&nbsp; After a night of games and failed escape attempts he took a “chance” and invited Sarah and her friend back to watch cartoons from their childhood. Sarah and Chance talked for hours and relived the cartoon glory days. At some point in the wee hours of the morning, Sarah mentioned she was not used to public transportation. As a 6 year commuter in the greater Boston area and surrounding suburbs Chance offered to lend his expertise any time she needed. Little did he know she would need that help three hours later… After a night of cartoons and chatting, sleeping in was all but guaranteed. Until Sarah came pounding on the door around 6:15 AM. She needed help taking the train to visit her best friend at Curry College. Knowing that he promised and hoping for an opportunity to impress her, Chance pulled on his clothes and figured out what trains to take. Instead of sending Sarah on her way they went on an adventure together and have continued adventuring together ever since.
