Karson and Sarah met at Dickinson State University in 2017. The first night they met was spent at a Christmas Party where the two spent their evening asking everyone they could who was wearing the best Christmas Sweater. The results of that poll were not close. Sarah took the cake. They became quick friends and enjoyed spending time together and getting to know each other. They began dating in April 2018 while the two were working toward their bachelor degrees and playing sports at the college. They graduated together in 2021.

Since then, Karson and Sarah have both been working in Dickinson. Karson owns an online vintage shop and coaches baseball while Sarah teaches 2nd grade and coaches volleyball. In the summer, the two strap on the bee suits and spend time in Center working bees. In their free time, Karson and Sarah enjoy spending time together with their puppy Gus, who never allows himself to go unnoticed. They enjoy going to the gym together, going on walks, and watching movies. Karson has been trying to convince Sarah to become an avid reader with him. After 5 years, she finally caved.

On December 21st, 2022, Karson and Sarah set out for Texas where they were planning to spend Christmas with Karson's family. The lovely North Dakota winter weather put up quite the fight and the two decided to spend the night in Bowman, ND to wait out the snow storm. Although they were not all that excited about the lack of places to eat in Bowman, Gus was thrilled to spend the night in a hotel for the first time. After getting a few hours of sleep and keeping an eye on the roads ahead, the two decided to turn around and head back to Dickinson as the roads seemed to be closing left and right. Karson had planned to propose on the trip, so before leaving he decided the Bowman Inn was as good a place as any. He got down on one knee and popped the question. They still don't know who was more excited, Sarah or Gus.

Sarah and Karson are thrilled to begin their lives together on June 1st, 2024. They are even more thrilled to celebrate with all the people they love most. They feel beyond blessed with the village of friends and family in their lives and can't wait to have each person there on the special day.
