Our Wedding

Our story began during winter break in 2019. My best friend Davis asked me to come over to hangout with him and a few of his friends from college. Those friends of his happened to be two very beautiful and funny girls named Sarah and Kayley. The four of us hung out for the majority of the winter break. We all did many things together such as going out to dinner and looking at Christmas lights. As the break was coming to an end and we were getting ready to head back to school, I found myself sad. I was sad because I was going to miss the happiness and brightness that Sarah always brought to the room. The time had come to say our goodbyes and head back to school. We were not at school for very long before I realized how much I was missing Sarah. We had only known each other for a month at this point, but I felt a connection with her that I knew I had to pursue. I decided to pack a bag and surprise her. This is when we decided to take our relationship more seriously and explore the connection we had in a deeper way.&nbsp; As baseball began to ramp up, Sarah visited me at Davidson multiple times. She was always so patient and understanding when I disappeared for baseball on the weekends for hours out of the day. We spent our time together going on late night drives listening to music, walking around campus, playing in the snow, and occasionally getting some homework done. After multiple times of Sarah visiting me at Davidson, I knew I had to make her my girlfriend. I knew she was the one because of how beautiful, smart, funny, selfless, and caring she was. For someone to possess all those qualities is extremely rare. I knew I could not let her get away.&nbsp; Not too long after we started dating, we got sent home from college because of Covid. Although many things were closed during this time, Sarah was still able to come up with very fun date ideas. We went fishing, hiking, kayaking and horseback riding. The best one of all was when we decided to get our first pets; two ducks named Lulu and Nugget.&nbsp; When we finally got sent back to college, we knew where our relationship stood. We were in love with one another. We made a promise to each other that we would do everything in our power to make sure we put our relationship first. Having a long-distance relationship was not easy, but it was always worth it when we were able to see each other. I will be forever grateful for the sacrifices Sarah made to come and see me. We made it through two years of long distance before we finally graduated.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; We were so excited when we graduated because we would not have to do long distance anymore. Not too long after graduating, Sarah and I got our first jobs. We were both working in Atlanta. We saved some money and decided to get our own apartment together in January of 2023. Living together has allowed us to make some of the greatest memories, and learn stuff about each other that we did not know before. There is nothing like coming home from work to the person that you love every day. Going on walks and having dinner together every day is so special to me.&nbsp; As our relationship continued to grow and flourish, I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. July 22nd of 2023 was the day I decided I would ask Sarah to marry me. I took her to Montaluce, a winery in Dahlonega. When we first arrived at the winery, we sat down and each got a drink. I could hardly take a sip out of mine. I was so nervous. I eventually asked her if she would like to go on a walk in the vineyard with me. After a few laps, we met under an Oak tree where a picnic basket was waiting with a ring in it. Friends and family watched from the balcony of the winery as I got down on a knee and asked Sarah to marry me. It was so special to have all the closest people to us there that day. Sarah and I are so excited about spending the rest of our lives with each other. We cannot wait for more adventures and many firsts with one another. I love Sarah so much and I can’t wait for her to be my wife!
