As most 30-something adults, Sarah and Alex met on Hinge (the dating app) in early 2020. However, there was one problem - COVID hit. The pair used all forms of social media and apps to stay connected while in lockdown, but never even met in person until the 5th or 6th date. Sarah's dog, Luna, came along to meet Alex on their first date at a local Chicago park. She warned Alex that her dog didn't always like all men, but Luna immediately asked Alex to play ball - she loved his vibe. He brought snacks and blueberry tea for a picnic and it was a perfect first date during one of the most tumultuous and unprecedented times.

Over the summer months, Alex celebrated Sarah's graduation from her internship, helped her study for her registered dietitian exams, and became close hiking and adventure buddies with Luna. Sarah got to know all of Alex's friends and learned a thing or two about the wild world of luxury hospitality. Sarah and Alex bonded over their love for nature, animals, traveling, Marvel movies, and great local Chicago food. They moved in together in August 2021 in one of their favorite neighborhoods, Lincoln Square.

Casually, Alex mentioned that he'll likely need to move out of Chicago at some point and asked Sarah where she'd want to live. "Denver would be great" she replied. As the fates would have it, a coworker contacted Alex in 2022 about an excellent position with the Four Seasons Denver. We thought, "Let's do it"! So we packed up our life in Chicago and moved out to the Mile High City!

Here in Denver, we've enjoyed hiking, skiing, road trips, and connecting with so many local friends. Our dog, Luna, was the most thrilled with the change in scenery - a true mountain dog at heart. Each Sunday is usually filled with grabbing a local coffee followed by a hiking adventure in the mountains (hence the theme of our engagement shoot) - now with our new dog, Welles.

Alex proposed on top of a mountain (as Sarah had always dreamed) followed by an amazing weekend celebrating with their families. It could not have been more perfect (apart from the major snow storm derailing Alex's initial plans)! We are truly excited to continue building our lives and family together as husband and wife.
