It started with eHarmony advertising a free weekend to try out their dating site; I had a few friends who met their husbands on the site and figured I would see what the fuss was about. Justin Hargrave from Lafayette, LA was my first match up. I was skeptical of all online dating and thought that it was people hiding behind a screen, lying about who they really were and what they looked like. When I looked at Justin's profile, it said that he played beach volleyball. What were the odds that he played at Volley Beach where I also play? So I figured that I was safe to give this person a chance, and worst case, we would just end up as friends at Volley Beach. 	Justin and I matched through eHarmony on May 5, messaged through the app for about a week, then exchanged phone numbers. We texted each other for 2 more weeks before we decided to meet in person. Justin asked me out on a first date on May 27th but we decided to meet the night before to make sure we both weren't being catfished, lol. On May 26, I showed up to Volley Beach where he was playing in a tournament. As I sat court side watching him play, I noticed he kept looking around at all the people watching the game, assuming he was trying to spot me. Once he finished playing, I went up to him, introduced myself and told him how much I was so relieved that not only was he the person I met online but so much more handsome in person. For the next 24 hours, I had butterflies in my stomach and time couldn't pass fast enough until I could see him for our first date. After that first date, you could say the rest was history; we were head over heels in love and inseparable. Through the years we have learned from each other, held each other up during some of life's toughest blows, encouraged the other during periods of growth, celebrated each others victories and fight every day for the others happiness. He is my best friend, my voice of reason, my teammate, the one who encourages me to fight for my dreams and the one who helps me stay humble in my faith. I cannot wait to marry this amazing man on April 1, 2023! xoxo - Sarah Emili

Best friends since K5, we have always been inseparable and often mistaken as sisters. Grew up together doing Rangers, playing volleyball and softball. Shelbi is literally the only reason I passed Chemistry in high school, lol. She has been there for me at every high and low in my life. I couldn't imagine getting married without her by my side.

Alix and I met while attending the Louisiana Culinary Institute in 2009-2010. She was this loud and infectious personality, and I don't know why she wanted to be friends with the quietest most awkward person in class. But we clicked and she started to rub off on me; we had the time of our life that year! After only a year, I knew that Alix would be in my corner for a lifetime! I am so happy that she will be standing by my side when I marry Justin!
