Flight Information
There are three airports that can be used to get to Frederick, MD, but our preference is BWI. Although these three airports are all less than 50 miles away, rush hour traffic can extend the trip. If arriving or departing during rush hour, BWI may be your best option. From Dulles, Route 15 (2 lanes) can be quite congested. From Reagan, the trip through or around D.C. and then up I-270 can also be quite slow depending on your timing.
BWI: ~50 miles away, 1 hour drive (up to 1.5 hours in traffic)
Reagan: ~50 miles, 1 hour drive (up to 2 hours in traffic)
Dulles: ~45 miles, 1 hour drive (up to 2 hours in traffic)
We recommend renting a car to get from surrounding airports to the Frederick area.
Transportation from hotels to Dulany's Overlook
We will have two school buses providing transportation from the Clarion Inn (5400 Holiday Drive) before the wedding and returning to the Clarion Inn after the wedding.
The buses will be departing at 3:00pm
Parking is available at Dulany's Overlook, other transportation options to get to the venue include Uber/Lyft and taxis. If you are staying in the Hilton Garden Inn it is about 5-10 minute drive to get to the Clarion Inn to meet the buses.
Clarion Inn (formerly Holiday Inn Frederick-Conference Center at FSK Mall)
As of 3/1 the name of the Holiday Inn-FSK changed to the Clarion Inn, but this will not impact any prior reservations or any future reservations using the group rate for the wedding.
Given the transition, to make a reservation for the Follmer-Strother wedding, please call Suzy Glunt at 240-215-2086 or email her at suzanne.glunt@hifrederick.com. If it is after normal business hours, you should also be able to call the hotel directly to make a reservation. The discounted rate for our wedding ($109/night) is available on 6/9/17 and 6/10/17. Please reach out to us if you are having trouble getting a reservation.

Hilton Garden Inn

You may also call the hotel directly using the number provided to make a reservation under the Follmer-Strother wedding. The discounted rates are $129/night for a King or two queens, or $169/night for a King Junior Suite.
