This is another story you can “wrap in maroon and white.” David and Sarah Frances were both attending Mississippi State University in 2018 and met in the most unlikely of places: a video game. David and Sarah Frances both grew up playing online games, and Mississippi State had a collegiate gaming team. Both joined a virtual lobby for the chance to claim a spot on the team, but little did they know they would discover a teammate for life. On January 31, 2022, David proposed. He asked Sarah Frances, “Will you come fly with me?”

“Distance makes the heart grow fonder,” and it is incredible how true it is. David is currently stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota while Sarah Frances is finishing law school in Birmingham, Alabama. We are looking forward to reuniting in 2024.

We are excited to take off on our next big adventure as Mr. and Mrs. Usher.
