Mikey and Sarah’s story began in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the fall of 2015 when they were both college freshmen living in Mary Markley Hall. They met the first night through mutual friends and were immediately smitten with each other, sharing their first kiss that night. Over the next year, Sarah tried to friend-zone” Mikey, but they always seemed to end up in the same place at the same time.




Mikey, of course, fell head over heels for Sarah on that first night, but it took Sarah over a year to finally realize she had a crush on him. In the fall of 2016, they rekindled their romance during a party over a gourmet plate of fettuccine alfredo taken from his fraternity’s kitchen. Mikey soon asked Sarah to his Christmas date party. She quickly accepted and responded by inviting him to her club lacrosse date party the following weekend. Those evenings were filled with laughter and dancing, and the two became inseparable. On February 16, 2017, Mikey officially asked Sarah to be his girlfriend. Although he always maintained that their true anniversary would be the day he finally got to marry her.
