Q + A
Where exactly is the wedding?
The GPS coordinates to the venue are 39.9512452, -106.3577062. Simply copy and paste these coordinates into Google Maps.
Elevation and Health Concerns at Our Wedding
We live at approximately 8000 feet of elevation. You will have to go up to 11,000 feet on the highway to reach us. The oxygen content at sea level is 21%. Our wedding site’s oxygen content is approximately 15%. Altitude sickness is not uncommon at this elevation. Each person will acclimate differently. Please please consider your own personal health conditions before making the trip to this elevation. Be sure to stay hydrated and consider staying in Denver for one night prior, as this can help with gradual acclimation to altitude.
How rural is the hotel and venue?
We live in a very rural area. The closest full sized grocery store is about 45 minutes away from our house, but about 10 minutes from the hotel. The hotel is located in a suburban area with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The nearest hospital is 10 minutes from the hotel and 45 minutes from the venue.
Where Do I Fly Into?
Denver International Airport is the closest large airport to our house. It is a little more than a two hour drive from our house/venue.
How Do I Get To The Hotel?
You can either rent a car at Denver International Airport, or book a round trip shuttle through Peak One Express, Epic Mountain Express, Summit Express, or others.
How do I get from the hotel to the wedding and back?
There will be a shuttle running to and from the hotel multiple times throughout the day.
Traveling in The Rocky Mountains
I70 is the main highway from Denver International Airport to the hotel and our house/venue. I70 is an interstate and is generally well maintained. However, it is a high mountain highway and conditions rapidly change. It’s not unheard of for it to snow in September, although it’s not likely. It is a little over 90 minutes from the airport to the hotel, and a little over 2 hours to the venue.
Food and Drinks at the Wedding
Our wedding will be catered by a BBQ restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. There will be an open bar.
