What should I wear?

The dress code for our wedding is 'Garden Party Formal'. Ladies- think summery colors, floral prints, lightweight fabrics. A full length or midi cocktail dress, tailored jumpsuit or separates are appropriate. Gentlemen- lightweight summer suits, tie optional. Sports coats, a crisp white shirt, linen, loafers are all good choices!

What's the vibe of your wedding?

Can I wear heels?

Much of the property is grass or gravel. If you're looking for some height, wedges or a block heel are great choices - save the stilettos for date night!

Are kids welcome?

While we love your little ones, we've decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope that you understand.

Can I bring a plus one?

In order to create an intimate vibe, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Will we be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting all festivities will be held outdoors.

What will the weather be like?

Average temps mid August are a high of 77° and low of 60°. Lightweight summer fabrics are recommended. Temps tend to dip a bit at night, so you might want to bring something to throw on when the sun goes down!

We can’t come to all of the weekends events, is that ok?

Absolutely! While we'd love for you to join us for all of them, we completely understand if you can't. We want you to enjoy the weekend at your own pace!

Will transportation be provided?

We will be providing a shuttle service for guests staying at The Landing Hotel. Please let us know if you have booked a room there so we can add you to the list for the shuttle. More details will be available closer to wedding day.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! Keep a eye out for signs, parking will be clearly marked. And overnight parking is allowed if you do need to leave your car.

Are you having a DJ or a Band?

There will be a live band at the reception, so put on your dancing shoes!

Why New York?

It's completely random. We have no connection to the area other than stumbling across the Maples Estate and falling in love with the venue! The remote(ish) location lends to some beautiful scenery. Eric is a big history buff and Sarah loves beautiful interiors and antiques, so the 1855 colonial farmhouse is the perfect blend and backdrop. We can't wait for you to experience it, it's truly something special!

Where should we stay?

There are a couple of hotels nearby, as well as B&B's and Airbnb's all within a 15 minute drive. You could also choose to stay in the capital region or Catskills for additional lodging options. Check out the 'Where to Stay' tab for our recommendations.

What is there to do nearby?

There are so many fun things to do nearby! Check out the 'Things to Do' tab for activities to enjoy while you are in Schoharie.
