How Did We Even Meet?

Picture of How Did We Even Meet?

In the summer between sixth and seventh grade, both Trey and Sarah started attending SAC (strength, agility, and conditioning) Camp. This camp is hosted by the high school for football players and any other athletes that would like a good workout everyday during the scorching Houston summer. During this time, the female athletes would still workout with the males. This is just the beginning of the story.

Trey and Sarah both had been admiring each other from afar (as twelve year olds do). They were put into a group during conditioning on the track and finally got the chance to meet. Sarah jokingly said to Trey, "You're fat." Trey smiled and said back to her, "Well, you're slow." If that does not describe their relationship in a nutshell, I am not sure what does.

They would continue to see each other only at SAC Camp during the summer until their freshman year of high school. Well, the rest is history!

The Piano Bench

What's up with the piano bench?

Well, it started waayyy back in 2017 a couple of months after they started dating. Trey was playing the piano and Sarah had her head on his shoulder. His dogs, Izzy and Tilly, were laying next to their feet and the cookies were almost done baking in the oven. Their moms were talking outside while picking Sarah up from Trey's house. The world stopped completely for them as the music and aroma filled the air. The universe was telling them that this is what was supposed to happen and they were meant for each other. It is a bond that can never be broken, and thus they knew they were soulmates. Even at 15 years old, they knew what love really was. It sounds cliche, but it's a true story.

Trey integrated their love story and made the proposal romantic by utilizing the piano bench to hold the ring and filled the bench with pictures of them throughout the years.
