Our Story

Where it began..

Picture of Where it began..

Sarah and Jared were introduced through Jared's Aunt Susanne, affectionately deemed "Cupid Susu". Sarah worked alongside Cupid Susu at LGA CPAs for three and a half years before Susu worked up the courage to mention she had a very hardworking and cute nephew (she was right!). Sarah, being an aunt herself, thought, "We all think quite affectionately of our nephews, don't we?" So she asked for some further information and photos. She took about a week to think on it before messaging Susanne, "Ok - he is really cute and sounds like a really great person, I'd be open to talking to him!"

So Susanne excitedly (and nervously) reached out to Jared, double checking that he would be okay with this. After a little convincing, he cautiously agreed to it. So Susanne shared Jared’s number with Sarah and told if she would need to reach out with him if she wanted to. (Jared wouldn't reach out first, he was too afraid that his aunt was making him sound amazing - haha! She was, but for very good reasons).

Sarah texted Jared that evening to say hello and they immediately hit it off. They spent hours texting that night and the following night!

After about a week of texting frequently and getting to know each other, they decided to meet in person on Christmas Eve. Jared brought his special wingman, Oakley, and the three of them strolled through Beverly at dusk admiring the twinkling lights and listening to the ocean waves crash. They walked and shared more about their lives and families. Both were wearing masks, though - it was the height of COVID and they would soon be spending time with beloved family members they wanted to keep safe. It was so hard to determine how it was going without facial expressions! Both of them left feeling uncertain but hopeful.

They stayed in touch via text throughout the following week and met up again the morning of New Years Day to walk around the lake in Wakefield, MA. (And what a great new year it would become!) They sat and enjoyed coffee with muffins on a park bench - Sarah was blown away by Jared's thoughtfulness when he presented a heated blanket for the park bench! That's when she knew he was really special.

At the end of the walk, they hugged and Jared said, "I really enjoyed talking with you. I'd like to see you again soon." Sarah couldn't believe how forward he was, and offered to bring the batch of freshly baked bagels she had started that morning - and Jared thought that was pretty special, too! The following day they spent entirely together - eating bagels, walking with Oakley, playing cards, going out for Mexican and falling in love! From that day on they have been almost inseparable.

It truly felt like a real life fairytale and it's hard to believe the fairytale lives on today as they get married, three years later!!!
