TRAVEL TO/FROM THE AIRPORT
Denver Airport (DEN) is one of the best and most well connected airports in the world. Hop on the train to get to The Inverness, where transportation to and from the wedding is included in the Grade/Cue Wedding Room Block as well as free shuttle transportation within 4 miles at any time during your stay. https://www.flydenver.com/
Once you’ve picked up your bags from baggage claim, follow signs to the Transit Center entrance located underneath the large American flag. It all starts with a ride on the longest escalator in Colorado, down five flights to the platform. Tip: If you plan on riding the train back to the airport, some of the airlines (American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, and United) let you check in and check your bags right there at the platform at least 90 minutes prior to flight (a free service operated by Bags, Inc., open daily from 6am to 6pm). Now get your ticket at the vending machine and get ready to ride; tickets are only $10 per person per day (ages 6-19 ride and active military free, special discount for seniors) and includes unlimited rides from any of the stations along the A line as well as the entire RTD Light Rail system for that day. Super convenient, trains run every fifteen minutes, most hours of the day. The A line train travels from the airport to downtown Denver in just over ½ an hour. While these trains look a lot like light rail cars, they are far superior, they carry more people and travel faster, nearly 80 miles an hour, faster than a speeding taxi. This is the best way to ride in style.
To get to The Inverness Denver, a Hilton Gold & Spa Resort, from the Denver Airport Station on the trains,
Take the A line to Peoria Station (19 min, 3 stops) then hop off.
Find the R line and hop on.
Continue on the R Line to either the County Line Station (53 min, 14 stops) , then hop off. This is near the Park Meadows Mall, Colorado’s biggest mall (See Things to Do section).
Call +1 303-799-5800 The Inverness and ask for free shuttle pick up from the County Line station.
To get back to the Denver Airport from The Inverness, have the front desk call the free shuttle for pick up out front and have them drop you off at either the Dry Creek Station or the County Line Station. Get your ticket at either the vending machine at the station or via the RTD “MyRide” app on your phone. Take the R Line northbound to Peoria Station, then take the A Line to Denver Airport Station. When exiting the train, walk toward the Airport, follow the signs to the Transit Center Bag Drop located under The Westin. Inside you can check in, print your boarding pass, and check your bags. Then head up the escalator and you’re on your way to security, bag free. For more information on this free service, visit www.Denver.org.
To go to downtown Denver, hop on the E line northbound from the County Line Station, check the RTF light rail map for trains to Union Station and/or 16th Street Mall. Note, the next three phases of the downtown rail reconstruction project are planned to be underway in 2025 to extend the design life of the transit infrastructure that has been in service since 1994.
