Q + A

How should we dress for the Welcome Party?

The Welcome Party will take place at The Post at the Stanley hotel complex. The post is a causal setting serving comfort food and local brews. For men, think dress jeans and a button down. Blazers or sports coats are welcome. Feel free to spice it up with boots or a hat. Women, think fun cocktail or summer dress and comfortable shoes. Bring a wrap for the evening to keep warm in the cool mountain air.

What does the Welcome Party entail?

This party is especially to welcome all of our out of town guests. Please join us to kick off a weekend of festivities! Lite Bites and beverages will be served. If you are looking for a complete dinner you can check out the menu here: https://www.postchickenandbeer.com/location/estes-park/

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Between 4 and 4:15pm. Ceremony will start at 4:30pm sharp!

How should we dress for the Wedding?

Mountain Formal- Think semi-formal to cocktail attire. We hope that you'll dress up but wear something you can dance comfortably in later! Here’s what semiformal means: Semi-formal is more dressed up than you'd wear to work in an office and less fancy than going to a gala. If the event is at night, dressier is better. For those who opt for pants suits and dresses, choose garments made of slightly more lavish climate-appropriate materials, including cashmere or silk. Here’s some notes about “cocktail attire”: Cocktail attire is that sweet spot between your most glamorous gown and your favorite business casual wear. It's about looking polished and poised without feeling overdone. We encourage mountain attire which combines nature-inspired elements, comfortable silhouettes and a color palette in harmony with the beautiful Colorado surroundings. Feel free to express your inner mountain man or Mother Nature through boots, hats, and accessories.

Is there transportation to/from ceremony and reception?

An Estes Park Trolley can transport guests to the Della Terra from both the Stanley Property and the Estes Park Visitor Center and also provide drop off at these locations at the end of the night. Parking at the Stanley is for guests only. There is plenty of parking at The Visitor Center for all guests staying at other locations. More information to come on the timing of pick-ups to and from the Della Terra! Guests wishing to attend the 1:30pm Mass are encouraged to carpool to The Chapel on Rock, a 12 mile drive from Estes Park. Keep in mind, because we are in a small mountain town, there are no Uber/Lyft or Taxi services available.

What is the parking like at Della Terra?

We have plenty of parking at Della Terra - Feel free to drive yourself to the event. Because it's a small mountain town, keep in mind there is no UBER available in Estes Park.

How far is the Stanley Hotel from Della Terra?

It's 5 miles away, about a 10 minute drive up Fall River Road. These roads can be dark and windy at night so transportation will be provided to and from the ceremony for our guests to take if needed!

What is the closest airport to Estes Park?

Denver International Airport (DIA) is the closest airport and is located 85 miles (1.5hours) from Della Terra. For those not renting a car, the Estes Park Shuttle makes multiple runs between the airport and Estes Park each day. There is a 20% discount for all guests who mention they are attending the Granberry -Buckley wedding. Boulder, where we live, is located 43 miles (1hour) from Della Terra.

Will we be inside or outside?

The Ceremony at the Della Terra will begin outside with plenty of seating, then process up to a partially covered deck for the cocktail hour. Once the doors open for the reception and dinner and dancing inside, we can still enjoy the outside deck and fresh mountain air.

What are some considerations we should take for high altitude?

Estes Park is at about 8,300ft, so keep in mind the altitude change and take care of yourself. Here are some tips
: *Stay hydrated…drink up to twice as much water to help avoid dizziness, headaches, and altitude sickness starting before and during your trip to higher altitudes. Limit your caffeine intake. *Limit alcoholic drinks since the effects will feel stronger at high altitude. *if you plan to go hiking, wear plenty of sunscreen. The sun is more intense at this altitude. *Dress in layers when out and about since the weather can change quickly. Bring warmer layers for when the sun goes down.
