His Side:

I remember the day well. I had returned home from serving in the Air Force and was still in the process of trying to sort my life out from what felt like losing everything. Finding a job, dealing with a broken heart, and trying to figure out where to start. However, one simple shopping trip to the local pet store would change my life forever.

I was moving to the checkout when I looked over and saw her walking into view towards the aquarium section. I recognized her immediately as the sister of one of my old Civil Air Patrol friends, and I quickly moved to say hello. After our initial pleasantries we did some light catching up, and our meeting ended with me saying "Hope to see you around". Little did I know that this encounter started one of the greatest journeys I have ever had. From walking through Valley Falls, to hiking Seneca Rocks, to exploring the USAF Museum, to marveling at the Ark Encounter, and to living my childhood dream of visiting Universal Studio's Jurassic Park, she has been right there with me.

I never knew the Lord would send someone into my life that could help pick up the shattered pieces of my heart and drive me to always do better. To feel that feeling of love like I never had. To find someone that complimented me. To know that she would be by my side in all our adventures. I knew I had found the one. That is why when I went to ask her the question, that gorgeous summer day, at Coopers Rock, there wasn't even a shred of doubt in my mind she would say "Yes".

She is my best friend, my cheerleader, my lover, my support, and now my Bride-to Be.
