Our Wedding

Where It All Began...

It all started with a swipe...right... from Jeff &amp; from my lesbian friend Melissa. Yes, you read that right! My friend Melissa was on the hunt to find me a husband &amp; in the mix of eligable bachelors, Jeff was one of them! From cheesy, unoriginal pick up lines to incorporating Taylor Swift lyrics into his messages, Jeff managed to win me over after my attempt to ignore his advances more than once! Our first date was at Jack Astors, where Jeff was actually EARLY! After that the rest was history! After 8 months of dating, we moved in together in Jeff's bachelor pad that I turned into a clean, organized home! Jeff had got Diego when we first started dating, and after a few months of living together, we decided he needed a buddy. We went to the local humane society &amp; both fell in love with Kevin. His name at the shelter was Chive ( weird I know) so when we were in the car ride home I told Jeff I wanted to name him Kevin &amp; he laughed and just went along with it! Then.. a year later we bought a house! In the heart of Bowmanville, during the pandemic we reached a goal we both worked so hard for! The day we got the keys..... we also got ENGAGED! Which is why you're on this site in the first place! We walked into our home just the 2 of us and while I was doing my happy dance in our empty livingroom, Jeff was downstairs pacing with nerves. He called me downstairs so I ran down and as I turned the corner, there he was. Down on one knee with an open ring box in his hand with tears in his eyes. My reaction? I believe it was, " What are you doing?? What are you doing??" and I also fell to my knees crying hysterically into my hands in complete shock. After I gathered myself enough to speak, I looked at Jeff and all he could say was " What do you say?" and I said YES! Such a whirlwind of a day! Now here we are, planning a wedding &amp; we can't wait to celebrate with you all! Love Sarah &amp; Jeff

This is Nicole, my right hand girl for 17 years! We met playing soccer in 2004 & have been bestfriends ever since! She works in advertising, lives in Toronto, happily married to her husband Neil & is a proud Mama to her 2 kiddos Leo & Lia!

This is Steph! She is biologically my Aunt but we have always been more like sisters! She is my Mom's half sister, lives in North Bay & is the proud Mama to my favorite little guys Ben & Luka!

This is Britt! I also met her playing soccer as a teenager! Britt lives in Whitby, she's a passionate elementary school teacher & my favorite person to go to the movies with! She also has the most contagious giggles.

This is Kristy! We met because we both liked the same boy going into college & then bonded over how much we hated him after! Kristy lives in Oshawa with her boyfriend Dan, she's a dental assistant & a drinking game enthusiast. You will find her on the dance floor or crying uncontrollably during the ceremony!

This is Dan, Jeff's younger brother.  Dan lives in Oshawa & works for the Labor Union. Dan is a firm believer that Saturdays are for the boys. You will find him at the open bar making bad jokes only him & Jeff find funny. 

This is Kyle, one of Jeff's bestfriends. They met at Georgian College & have partied together ever since. Kyle works for Honda, lives in Barrie & always knows the best restaurants! Kyle's got a guy for everything, but when he doesn't, he is the guy.

This is Johnson! He & Jeff met at Georgian College & have also partied together ever since. He lives in Thornton, just outside of Barrie & works for Honda. Fun fact, Johnson was there when Jeff & Sarah had their first kiss! Johnson was the guy that drank with Jeff while Kyle drove them around.

This is Jeff's cousin Adam! Adam was born and raised in Port Perry. You will be hard pressed to find someone that doesn't get along with Adam. You will find him in 1 of 3 places, the open bar, the dance floor or right next to you forcing you to take a selfie with him!

Introducing Ben & Luka! These are Sarah's cousins & Steph's boys! Ben is 7 years old, loves Captain America, hockey, soccer and swimming in Grandma & Grampa's pool! Luka is 3, loves his big brother, dinosaurs, Sonic, swimming in the pool & randomly video calling family members to say "hi" when he's bored!

This is Sarah's younger & much taller brother Josh & his better half Nikki! This is a couple that needs a TV show, because there is never a dull moment with these two! They have been together since 2014, & currently living in Richmond Hill with their two cats Lambert & Halley. Between Josh's sarcasm & Nikki's quick wit, they will have no issue navigating our reception while also being very entertaining!

There is a limited amount of rooms blocked for this rate! Blocked rooms are also available for September 15th if needed! Room options are 2 queen beds, for 2 people for $149. For every extra guest, it is $10 each extra guest per night. (4 people to a room would then be $169) There are also rooms with 1 Queen bed for $159 available for just night of September 16th. *Any rooms booked after August 25th, will pay regular rates* This hotel is a 13 minute drive from the wedding venue. Other hotels close by are the Best Western &amp; Holiday Inn, in Newmarket, however we won't have a group rate at those options!
