Our Wedding

Once upon a time there were two bears. One named Sam and one named Sarah. This is the beginning of their story. First, let me tell you a little about Sam. Sam grew up in Puyallup, Washington with his loving parents and brother Tim. He played the guitar in his and Tim's Punk Rock Band TVK, wrestled, and ran cross-country, went fishing and worked on Volkswagens. He loved people and having fun. After high school Sam attended Central Washington University where he met his friend Blaine, and earned a Geology degree. In 2011 he got a job working for Midas Gold out of Donnelly, Idaho as a geologist and absolutely LOVED IT! There was only one thing missing...Meanwhile, I'll tell you a little about Sarah. She was born in Boise, Idaho and moved around a bit until 3rd grade when she moved back to Boise, Idaho. She also had loving parents and quite a few siblings; Aubrey, Emily (Sarah), Bridger and Carsen. She was a cheerleader, ran track, and ran cross-country. After high school, Sarah enlisted in the Utah Army National Guard so her Uncle Sam would pay for her college degree. She attended Utah State University and got a degree in Parks and Recreation. She moved to McCall, Idaho for an internship with the Boy Scouts of America as an Aquatics director. After the summer she decided to make Valley County her home and got a job at The Shore Lodge as a Concierge. There was only one thing missing...Fast forward: Sam was living with his friend Blaine and his wife Taylor in McCall. Sarah was living in Donnelly and working with Taylor at Shore Lodge in McCall.One day Sarah was telling Taylor she broke her gear shifter on her CRF 230 and was going to Boise to have her dear ol' dad fix it. Taylor said, oh my roommate rides! He can fix it for you. She proceeded to invite her husband Blaine and roommate Sam to The Narrows Grill for drinks after Sarah got off work and the boys got home from fishing. Then things went something like this: October 20, 2014: Sam &amp; Sarah metNovember 13, 2014: Sam fixed Sarah's gear shifterNovember 14, 2014: First date to Main Street Pizza in DonnellyNovember 20, 2015: Second Date to Movies with Peyton and AmandineNovember 21, 2015: Sarah made Sam lunch during his lunch break December 11, 2015: Third date ordered pizza and watched a movie *First Kiss*January 12, 2015: Sam and Sarah start using the Boyfriend/Girlfriend words January 12, 2016: Sam and Sarah go on a one year anniversary date to Steamer'sAugust 13, 2016: Sam pops the question and Sarah says.... YES! Sarah had just returned home from a three week paid vacation with the National Guard to Romania. She bought Sam new motorcycle tires before she left, and he hadn't had a chance to use them. She thought he just wanted to try them out... but she was in for a big surprise! Sam took Sarah to the Crestline trail and told her they were going to ride to Blackwell Lake. They got on the very dusty trail and he told her to stop at the top. She thought she found a gorgeous view but it wasn't what Sam had in mind. They turned around and stopped at the side of a hill. They hiked to the top and it was beautiful. Sam asked if he could take a picture. Sarah said yes and turned around. A moment later, she heard him say her name. She turned around to see Sam on one knee and he looked at her and said, "Will you marry me?" A little shocked, Sarah just hugged him and said, "I love you!" Then she said, "Yes!" After a giant hug Sam said, "Do you even want to see the ring?" She was so happy she forgot about that part. He did a marvelous job picking out a gorgeous ring for a gorgeous girl. They took some photos and continued the ride to Blackwell Lake.
