Sarah and Kevin met because God lined up some strange circumstances. A friend of Sarah's had just persuaded her to make a profile on an online dating app. Kevin noticed her cover photograph-- Sarah driving a boat in Grand Haven Harbor. They both swiped right, and that was that.
But of course, it wasn't simple. By the time Sarah noticed that she matched with Kevin, and he had sent her a message, the world had shut down because of the COVID-19 pandemic. They would have to settle for texting and phone calls before they could actually meet for a date. After weeks of quarantine, Kevin decided to put his essential worker's permit to good use. He ordered a pizza, picked it up, and they enjoyed a very casual first date. They hit it off immediately-- despite Sarah's Fred Rogers socks. Kevin described Sarah as "sweet and smokin' hot," and Sarah thought Kevin was "handsome and intelligent." Over the past four years, they've enjoyed their time together boating on Lake Michigan, searching for local live music, and finding quirky old movies to laugh with. But above all, their faith in God has brought them together and propels them forward.
