Where should I stay?

All wedding events will take place at the Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen (formerly Hilton Playa del Carmen), an adults-only, all-inclusive resort. This is where you should book your room. Click here to book direct, there is not a room block.

All official wedding festivities take place on Friday and Saturday, Dec 12 & 13.

If you are not staying at the resort (not recommended), please let Sarah or Zac know, you will need a day pass to attend the wedding, which must be pre-arranged.

What is an all-inclusive resort?

All food, drinks (including alcohol), entertainment and resort activities are included in the price of your room. Gratuities are considered to be included; but we recommend bringing small bills to tip for exceptional service!

Travel

What days should I be there?

You are welcome to extend your vacation as long as you wish. At a minimum, we recommend traveling in Thursday, Dec 11 to enjoy some time in the sun before the Friday Welcome Party!

What is the closest airport?

Cancun International Airport (CUN)

Are there transportation options to/from the airport?

Yes! We recommend booking private transportation. You may book through the resort.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, you need a valid passport to travel to Mexico and the expiration date must be at least 6 months from your travel dates.

What currency is used in Mexico?

The local currency is the Mexican peso, but US dollars and major credit cards are widely accepted.

What's the weather like in December?

Typically, the weather is pleasant, with highs in the mid-80s and lows in the mid-60s.

What is the plan for the weekend?

The Friday welcome party and Saturday wedding ceremony, dinner & reception are the only "official" wedding activities. Our primary goal is to spend unstructured, quality time with our favorite people! We'll be on beach time...

(Bright, fun, short or maxi dresses for women; slacks with button-down shirt or linen suit for men, no tie. Cotton & linen encouraged.) All events are planned to be outdoors.
