Josh and Sarah both grew up near each other, and attended the same high school, Auburn Riverside. They never met in high school, but ended up following each other on Instagram sometime between college and adulthood. Josh ended up moving to Seattle after college from 2018-2021, and Sarah lived in West Seattle from 2019-2022. But they never crossed paths. Josh moved to Auburn (Lakeland Hills) in 2021, and Sarah moved to Lake Tapps in August of 2022. About 5 months later, Josh saw a video of Sarah and her golden retriever Murphy, and sent Sarah a message as he too had a golden retriever. He asked to get the dogs together and go on a little walk. And another walk after that. And from that point on, their future was golden :)
